Freight classification

Industrial water treatment, simplified.

Chlorine gas, hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide and bromine barely penetrate the biofilm that shields pathogens. They also bring corrosivity, handling hazards, disinfection by-products and fast decay, forcing continuous over-dosing and pH balancing.

Neutrally charged HOCl penetrates biofilm and kills faster at a lower applied dose. SPT95™ is near-neutral to 304 and 316 steel and polymers, and pH-agnostic across a wide range, removing the pH-correction chemistry hypochlorite needs.

It is not classified under GB-CLP at supply concentration, needs no Class 8 freight and no PPE in normal use, and is non-hazardous for transport and storage.

Where it's deployed

SPT95™ integrates into the process water systems you already run.

Cooling Towers
Industrial process water disinfection for cooling towers. Proven to rapidly eradicate Legionella in water systems.
Boilers & Production Water
Disinfects boilers and production water systems, dosed to around 1 ppm at the point of use.
Desalination
Disinfects water in desalination plants.
Biofilm Removal
Clears biofilm from aged infrastructure without the need to turn off the supply or system.
Wastewater
Disinfects effluent before discharge with no harmful by-products and no need to dechlorinate.
Simpler Logistics
Supplied at 32,000 ppm for dilution at the point of dosage, removing the cost of hazardous transport and storage.

How SPT95™ compares

SPT95™ against the chemistries it is most often measured against.

Other HOCl Products
The limitation
Often a mixture of HOCl with sodium, chloride, hypochlorite and stabiliser salts. Typically 500 ppm maximum, 30% maximum purity and a 3 to 6 month maximum shelf life. Stabilising salts can corrode machinery such as fogging and dosing sprayers.
SPT95™
HOCl and water only, customisable up to 32,000 ppm, minimum 95% purity and no corrosivity in use.
Chlorine Dioxide (ClO₂)
The limitation
Slower, with longer contact times. Produces chlorites and chlorates, which are harmful and highly regulated. Pre-mixed solutions are not suitable for long-term storage, and on-site generation relies on precursor chemicals classified as Dangerous Goods.
SPT95™
Fast acting with short contact times. Produces no harmful by-products and is non-toxic. Stable at concentrations up to 32,000 ppm and non-hazardous for transport and storage.
Chlorine & Hypochlorite
The limitation
Barely penetrate the biofilm that shields pathogens. They bring corrosivity, handling hazards, disinfection by-products and fast decay, forcing continuous over-dosing and pH balancing.
SPT95™
Neutrally charged HOCl penetrates biofilm and kills the microorganisms embedded in it. No THMs, HAAs or chlorate. Low corrosivity and pH-agnostic across a wide range, so no pH-correction chemistry is needed.
