Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) occurs in nature. White blood cells release it as part of the immune response to destroy pathogens. It kills bacteria, viruses, fungi and spores quickly and effectively, while remaining safe to both people and sensitive environments.
The challenge has always been producing high-purity, stable HOCl at scale. Most HOCl on the market falls short, typically at 500 ppm maximum, 30% maximum purity and a shelf life of 3 to 6 months at most.
SPT95™ takes the opposite approach: produced through a proprietary process and shipped concentrated at 32,000 ppm, so you control the dilution, the freight and the cost.

More than 95% of SPT95™'s active chlorine is present as HOCl, and it holds that purity across pH 2.6 to 7.6. Purity is measured by UV spectrophotometry, where HOCl peaks at around 235 nm and the common hypochlorite impurity at around 290 nm.
Every SPT95™ product is tested at specific concentrations and pH, and its antimicrobial efficacy is certified in independent UKAS accredited laboratories.
SPT95™ is HOCl and water only, with no stabilisers added. Stability is proven in both real-time and accelerated conditions, giving an 18 month shelf life in the supplied black packaging.
